Online training on financial information disclosure related to climate change (November 25)

On November 25 and 30, 2021, an online training session on financial information disclosure related to climate change will be held for the capital markets of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

This training is the result of collaboration between the United Nations (UN) Initiative on Sustainable Stock Exchanges (UN SSE), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB), Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC and Kyrgyz Stock Exchange.

Training goal:
- provide market participants with high quality certified training on disclosure of information related to climate risks, understanding the importance of disclosing such information;
- provide an overview of the international recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

Target audience: issuers, listed companies and other parties interested in compiling sustainable development reports in companies.

The event will be held in English with synchronous translation into Russian.

The online training consists of 2 different modules of 120 minutes each:
- 1 MODULE: TCFD 101
Date and time: November 25, 2021 at 15:00-17:00 o'clock (time of Almaty, Bishkek)
TCFD 101 will provide an overview of what climate-related reporting is and why it is important. TCFD 101 will also provide participants with the global and regional context and focus on the initial steps to implement the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
- 2 MODULE: TCFD 102
Date and time: November 30, 2021 at 15:00-17:00 o'clock (time of Almaty, Bishkek).

TCFD 102 is an in-depth program in which participants will analyze TCFD reports and broader best practices. The module will focus on developing internal processes for reporting and potential areas to start with.

In addition, self-tuition electronic materials will be provided.

Connection via the ZOOM platform.

Upon completion of the training (all modules), participants will receive a CDP certificate allowing individuals who are members of professional organizations to use the training as part of requirements for continuous professional development.

Participation in the training is free. Pre-registration is required.

To participate in the online training, you have to register and fill in your data using the links:

- Module 2: 102 Session - November 30, 15:00 .

Registered participants will receive a link to join the training additionally.
