Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) together with QazTech Ventures will hold an online meeting on the development of startup projects in Singapore, which will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., October 20, 2020, via Zoom.
The event is held as part of KASE Startup development.
QazTech Ventures is a company that promotes technological entrepreneurship through venture capital investment, business incubation and consulting.
The main problem of startup market development in Kazakhstan is lack of access to capital and professionalism of investors. QAZTECH Ventures was the first government initiative to finance local startups through the Quest Ventures, Singapore-based fund. The selection will be carried out by a commission consisting of specialists from this sector in Singapore - Anuar Seyfulin, Managing Director of Quest Ventures, and Diaz Beksoltan, Managing Director of KDA.
In addition to funding of US $50,000, the participants of ten startups will receive mentoring support from the international fund and the potential to enter the South-East Asian market.
The program will run for two years and it is planed to support another 20 startups during this period. The total volume of the startup support fund is US $1.5 million.
During the event, the speaker, Diaz Kozhakhmetov, Director of Retail Investment Department of QazTech Ventures, will talk about:
∙ ways of receiving support from the Singaporean fund by a startup project;
∙ the requirements to startup projects;
∙ the terms and stages of development.
