KASE, together with IFC, held the annual market open ceremony "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality"
On March 6, 2024, KASE, together with IFC, held the annual market open ceremony "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality", which included a discussion on the topic "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress".
This event is organized to draw the attention of the world community to the prospects for the development of gender inclusiveness and support for gender equality in the context of sustainable development policies and ESG principles.
The following persons spoke at the ceremony: Chairman of the Management Board of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC Alina Aldambergen;
- Director of the Securities Market Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market Aidyn Dauletbaq;
- Chairperson of the Council of the Association of Legal Entities "Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan" (AFK) Elena Bakhmutova;
- IFC Investment Specialist and Women's Banking Champion in the Middle East, Central Asia and Turkey Jeren Ozhan.
IFC Vice President Emmanuel Nirinkindi and IFC Director for Gender, Economic and Social Issues Natalie Gabala also made video addresses.
It should be noted that KASE joined the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative in 2015 and promotes gender equality in Kazakhstan. The Exchange actively supports the empowerment of women for sustainable development and business, as well as their presence in leadership positions and participation in addressing important issues in the country.
