How to become a listed company and raise financing?

The status of a listed company is an important new stage in the life of every company, opening up new financial opportunities through access to the capital market
In this section you will learn about how to become a listed company and raise extra funds for growth and development of the company

What is listing?

If the company is interested in raising funds on the Kazakhstan organized stock market, it needs to go through the listing procedure on KASE.

Listing is the procedure for including the company's securities in the official KASE list, after which the company receives:

  • the ability to conduct not only public, but also private placements of securities in the KASE trading system.

  • the status of the KASE listing company;

The initiator of the listing can be either the company itself or a KASE member broker in the "stock" category.

Currently, more than 1,000 corporate and government securities are traded on KASE. Among them are stocks, units, GDRs, ETF securities, bonds (including ESG) both Kazakhstani and foreign companies.

Structure of the KASE official list includes 4 markets: Main, Alternative, Mixed, Private placement

Choice of an audit organization

For listing of securities, as well as during the period of their presence in the official list of KASE the company is obliged to pass annual audit in one of the auditing organizations, included in the list of auditing organizations recognized by KASE

Engagement of a financial consultant

Financial consultant takes part in preparation of documents for registration of the issuer's securities issue, as well as documents for listing on KASE. For non-financial organizations engaging a financial consultant is mandatory

Choice of a verifier upon issue of ESG bonds

Independent expert on external assessment and analysis with respect to the use and distribution of proceeds from placement of ESG bonds

Stage 2. Listing

KYC (Know Your Client)

In order to establish business relations with the initiator of securities admission, KASE identifies the client and its beneficial owners in accordance with the requirements of the law about AML/CFT, as well as KASE rules

Application for inclusion of the company's securities in the official list of KASE is submitted online.

Package of documents and procedures

Inclusion of securities
in the official KASE listing is carried out according to a
full or simplified listing procedure. In order to include securities of the company into the official listing of the Exchange, the company needs to submit an application and a package of documents

Being listed in the official list of KASE

During the period when securities are in the official list, the initiator of admission disclose information about its or the issuer's activities
