KASE participated in discussion of key capital market development initiatives

Management Board Chairman of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) Adil Mukhamejanov participated in a roundtable discussion of key initiatives for development of Kazakhstan's capital market as per the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which was organized by the Republic of Kazakhstan's Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (ARDFM) jointly with Oliver Wyman.
The event participants also included representatives of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan, banks, professional securities market participants, international consultants and experts.
The meeting discussed key areas for development of Kazakhstan's capital market, including increasing its investment attractiveness, expanding the market mechanisms for financing the economy, initiatives to improve regulation, developing of market infrastructure and introducing new financial instruments.
The roundtable marked the second stage of the joint work of the government, market participants and international consultants to develop systemic solutions for capital market development. Following the first meeting, held in May 2026, more than 80 proposals were systematized into 17 key thematic areas.
The ARDFM, together with consultants, conducted a comprehensive market analysis and reviewed the international experience of more than 15 countries, and also engaged international experts in the fields of stock market development, pension systems, regulation, digital assets and derivatives. As a result, a package was developed comprising 36 initiatives, distributed across eight flagship areas of capital market development.
