KASE discussed bond market development at ASEAN+3 Forum in Japan
Delegations from Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) and KASE Clearing Centre (KACC), together with the Republic of Kazakhstan's Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (ARDFM), participated in the 46th ASEAN+3 Bond Market Forum (ABMF) held in Sapporo, Japan.
The event brought together representatives of central banks, regulators, stock exchanges and professional market participants from ASEAN+3 countries to discuss current issues of regional debt market development.
📌 The forum presented the current state and key development areas of the Kazakhstan's bond market. Special attention was given to Bond Market Guide for Kazakhstan, the first comprehensive guide to the Republic of Kazakhstan's bond market, prepared jointly by KASE, National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ARDFR, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and the Central Securities Depository (KCSD) under the auspices of the Asian Development Bank. The document is part of the ASEAN+3 Bond Market Guide series and is a key reference publication for international investors and professional market participants.
Forum participants exchanged experiences and discussed development of digital financial market infrastructure, including introduction of XBRL standard, Cross-Border Settlement Infrastructure, and sustainable finance initiatives (ESG).
Participation of KASE and KACC in the Forum contributes to strengthening of international cooperation and promoting the integration of Kazakhstan's capital market with regional financial markets. As a reminder, the Republic of Kazakhstan is having observer status at the ASEAN+3 Bond Market Forum (ABMF) since May 2025.
🤝 The event was organized with support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Kyoto University and the Center for Southeast Asian Studies.
The ABMF brings together 10 member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), as well as China, Japan and the Republic of Korea.
