KASE held seminar on capital market entry for members of the Association of Credit Partnerships

A joint event with the Association of Credit Partnerships was held at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), dedicated to opportunities for credit partnerships and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to raise capital through the securities market.
The participants discussed the prospects for credit partnerships to enter the stock market, bond financing instruments, listing requirements, as well as mechanisms for disclosing the information and increasing the issuer transparency.
Almira Sagat, the Management Board Chairperson of the Association of Credit Partnerships of the Agricultural Sector, noted that it is important for credit partnerships to adapt to changing market conditions.
"As financial institutions, we need to seek additional sources of funding for both existing and potential borrowers. Now is especially important to build a sustainable development model and take advantage of new opportunities in the capital market", she emphasized.
Nurgul Amirkhanova, Director of Investment Banking at Alatau City Invest, shared a practical perspective on bond issue and supporting the issuers in the capital market."Bonds are a tool not just for large corporations. Access to Kazakhstan's capital market is also feasible for SMEs, and the securities market itself is becoming one of the most flexible and sought-after sources of financing", noted Nurgul Amirkhanova.
Yermek Mazhekenov, Advisor to the Chairperson of the KASE's Management Board for Business Development, emphasized the importance of credit partnerships for regional economies and entrepreneurship development.
"KASE welcomes the emergence of a new class of issuers and is ready to act not only as a trading platform but also as a partner, helping to make the stock market more understandable and accessible for the real economy", said Yermek Mazhekenov.
At the end of the meeting, the participants were awarded certificates for their active participation in the seminar and their contribution to developing of dialogue between the financial sector and credit partnerships.
