Kazakhstan and ADB present the Bond Market Guide
The Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) announces publication on May 3, 2026, of the Bond Market Guide for the Republic of Kazakhstan - the first comprehensive publication systemically describing the country's debt instrument market.
The guide is part of the flagship ASEAN+3 Bond Market Guide series implemented by the ASEAN+3 Bond Market Forum (ABMF). It is worth noting that Kazakhstan joined the Forum as an official observer in 2025.
The document was prepared with joint participation of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kazakhstan's Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KASE, the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), and the Central Securities Depository (KCSD) under the auspices of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The Guide covers key aspects of the Kazakhstan's bond market, including its development history, the current legal and regulatory framework, types of debt instruments, and the trading, clearing and settlement infrastructure.
The document is a key reference for international investors, issuers, financial intermediaries, regulators and researchers, providing a systemic and up-to-date understanding of the Kazakhstan's capital market.
The official presentation and announcement of the Guide's publication took place at the 59th Annual Meeting of the ADB Board of Governors, which was held from May 3 to 6, 2026, in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
