KASE sums up results of the annual report competition

On February 17, 2023, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC (hereinafter – the Exchange, KASE) held an award ceremony for organizations based on the results of the annual reports competition.

The Exchange held this for the purposes of developing the practice of preparing non-financial reporting in Kazakhstan.

During the competition, the annual reports and reports on sustainable development for 2021 were evaluated by legal entities – residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan that applied for participation in the competition.

The Exchange has developed a procedure for evaluating annual reports, taking into account the evaluation of various characteristics of the reports of the competition participants. A total of 150 criteria were evaluated. A total of 23 applications were submitted for participation in the competition from organizations in the financial and non-financial sectors.

Main nominations In the nomination "Best Annual Report for 2021" diplomas were awarded to:
  • financial sector companies – KazAgroFinance JSC, National Managing Holding "Baiterek" JSC and Kazakhstan Housing Company JSC;
  • companies of the non-financial sector – National Company "KazMunayGas" JSC, National Atomic Company "Kazatomprom" JSC and KazTransOil JSC.
In the nomination "Best Sustainability Report for 2021" diplomas were awarded to:
  • National Company "KazMunayGas JSC, Halyk Savings Bank of Kazakhstan JSC and AK Altynalmas JSC.
Additional nominations

In the nomination "Best interactive version of the annual report for 2021" diplomas were awarded to:
  • KEGOC JSC, National Company “KazMunayGas” JSC, National Atomic Company "Kazatomprom" JSC.
In the nomination "Best Annual Report of a Non-Public Company for 2021" diplomas were awarded to:
  • NMC Tau-Ken Samruk JSC, Export Insurance Company "KazakhExport" JSC and Samruk-Kazyna Ondeu LLP.
In the nomination "The best design of the annual report for 2021" diplomas were awarded to:
  • KEGOC JSC, KazAgroFinance JSC and KazTransOil JSC.
KASE has held the annual reports competition since 2022. The evaluation of annual reports was carried out by KASE employees, as well as Kazakh experts in the field of evaluation and preparation of annual reports. Previously, this competition was held by the rating agencies "Expert RA Kazakhstan" and "QRA".
