How to invest systematically: personal experience of Batyr Yelemes

Financial commentator Batyrkhan Yelemes identified the main mistakes of novice investors. A seminar "Bond portfolio or how to achieve a passive income of 1 mln tenge a month" was held at KASE.
According to the speaker, one common misconception is the tendency to select an instrument based solely on the highest yield. It's important to remember: the higher the potential yield, the greater the risk an investor assumes.
Another important principle is not to expect quick results. Using his own bond portfolio as an example, Batyrkhan demonstrated how regular investments and coupon reinvestment can gradually increase capital. He began his experiment in 2024 with 1,000 tenge a day, and today the portfolio's value exceeds 2.1 million tenge.
"I wanted to show that investing is accessible to everyone, and you can start even with a small amount. I recommend doing it systematically and with discipline, and choose a company carefully. Artificial intelligence can help collect and analyze information, but it's important to double-check all data, including on the Exchange's official website", noted Batyrkhan Yelemes.
The seminar concluded with discussion of practical approaches to forming a bond portfolio and risk management.
