Mining and smelting concern Kazakhaltyn JSC (Kazakhstan) about the 1st coupon payment on its 1st issue bonds

/KASE, December 8, 04/ - Mining and smelting concern Kazakhaltyn JSC
(Akmola oblast, Stepnogorsk) has informed Kazakhstan stock exchange
(KASE) by the official letter that since December 2 till December 7 of 2004 it
paid the first coupon to holders of its indexed on tenge devaluation bonds of
the first issue (KZ2CKY05B133; KASE's official "A" listing category, KZALb1;
KZT1, KZT2,800.0 m.; June 2, 04 - June 2, 09, semi-annual coupon indexed
on inflation rate, 9.00% APR for the reporting period).
As the issuer says size of coupon per one bond was KZT0.045, total amount
of the paid coupon - KZT73,357,990.29.
Judging on the mentioned sum of coupon payment, 58.2% of registered
bonds were in circulation by register fixation date (December 1, 04).
According to bonds issue terms, this interest is to be paid by the issuer
before December 15 inclusive.
