/KASE, September 14, 2021/ – Samruk-Energy JSC (Nur-Sultan, bonds, KASE
official list), has provided KASE with the following message dated September 14,
2021:
In the third quarter of 2022, it is planned to launch a new technology for the
extraction and transportation of coal at the largest Bogatyr deposit in
Ekibastuz. The production capacity of Bogatyr Komir LLP will increase from the
current 42 million tons to 50 million tons of coal per year. Serik Tyutebayev,
the Managing Director for Production and Assets of Samruk-Energy JSC, spoke
about this today during a working trip to the enterprises of the Ekibastuz
energy complex. According to him, the project "Cyclical-flow technology of coal
mining at Bogatyr open pit" (CFT) will improve the quality characteristics of
products, as well as increase labor productivity and slow down the growth of
the production cost of coal mining.
Let us remind you that Bogatyr Komir LLP conducts open pit coal mining at two
open-pit mines of the Ekibastuz coal basin - Bogatyr and Severny. The production
capacity of the enterprise is 42 million tonnes of coal per year, including 32
million tonnes at the Bogatyr open pit (40 million tonnes after the
commissioning of the CFT), and 10 million tonnes at the Severny open pit -
