KazTransOil reports adjustment of the schedule of oil transportation for January of 2020 by the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan

/KASE, January 22, 2020/ – KazTransOil (Nur-Sultan), whose shares are officially
listed on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with the press
release dated January 22, 2020, which states as follows:

On January 16, 2020, "KazTransOil" JSC in the process of crude oil acceptance
into the trunk pipeline system from "CNPC-Aktobemunauygas" JSC at the result of
crude oil quality tests detected an excess of organochlorine compounds in the
fractions boiling up below 204°С.
"KazTransOil" JSC stopped the acceptance of crude oil from "CNPC-Aktobemunaygas"
JSC on the same day until the issue of delivered crude oil quality is resolved.
As of January 22, 2020, the acceptance of crude oil from "CNPC-Aktobemunaygas"
JSC was not restarted. "CNPC-Aktobemunaigas" JSC is preparing a storage tank for
loading clean crude oil for delivery to the trunk oil pipelines' system of
"KazTransOil" JSC
The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, given the decline in volume
of oil delivery for transportation through trunk oil pipeline’s system, adjusted
the schedule for oil transportation to the refineries of the Republic of Kazakhstan
and for export for January of 2020. In particular, the scheduled volume of export
for Kazakhstani producers in the direction of China was reduced. Exempt volume
of crude oil is redirected to supply PKOP (Shymkent Refinery). The schedule of
crude oil supply to Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant has also been changed.
Currently, the transportation of crude oil by trunk oil pipelines' system is
carried out in accordance with the adjusted schedule.
