In January–May 2014 volume of foreign currency trading on KASE increased 2.1 times and made up KZT12.3 trln ($70.1 bn)

/KASE, June 4, 14/ – In the period January to May 2014, the volume of foreign currency trading on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT12,250.1 bn (equivalent of USD70,131.6 mln) and increased against the same period of 2013 2.1 times (1.8 times in dollar terms). In comparison with the previous five month period (August–December 2013) the trade volume increased by 36.1 % (19.4 % in dollar terms).
