/KASE, February 2, 11/ - National Company KazMunayGaz (Astana) whose bonds are
officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) has provided KASE with the
following press-release of February 2, 2011:

On February 2, 2011 NC KazMunayGaz (hereinafter - NC KMG) jointly with the
association of legal entities "Union of Mechanical Engineers of Kazakhstan"
conducted a meeting involving representatives from Ministry of Oil and Gas of
the Republic of Kazakhstan, Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the
Republic of Kazakhstan, subsidiary companies of Sovereign Wealth Fund
Samruk-Kazyna, machinery-building enterprises and operators of large oil and
gas projects (Tengizchevroil, NCOC and KPO B.V.) on the subject of increase of
Kazakhstan made contents in large oil and gas projects.
According to preliminary results of 2010, the total volume of procurement across
KMG made up KZT1,595.2 bn, whereas the Kazakhstan made contents made 51% or
KZT811 bn.
In the total volume of purchased goods equaling to an amount of KZT776 bn, the
share of suppliers from Kazakhstan was as high as 31% or KZT244.7 bn.
The total volume of job contracts concluded made up KZT393.1, whereby the local
contents reached 63% or KZT248 bn.
All in all, services worth KZT425.7 bn were purchased, in particular from
domestic suppliers - to the amount of KZT317 bn, which equals to 75% of
Kazakhstan made contents.
In order to implement a complex of measures aimed at increase of Kazakhstan
contents in procurement of goods, services and jobs, a Programme of Assistance
by KMG to development of petroleum machinery building in Kazakhstan for
2010-2012 has been drawn up and carried out.
