New head of KazMunaiGaz appointed

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, August 20, 08/ - Kairgeldy Kabyldin
was appointed as the President of national oil and gas company
KazMunaiGaz.
The Prime Minister of the Republic Karim Masimov introduced the new head
of the national company Wednesday, the press service of KazMunaiGaz
informed.
K. Kabyldin (55) worked as a Vice-president of KazTransOil, the first deputy
of Transport of Oil and Gas CJSC, Vice-president of KazMunaiGaz on oil and
gas transportation, service projects as well as on the refining and
petrochemicals, Vice Chairman of Kazakhstan holding on state assets
Samruk JSC.
He replaced the head of KazMunaiGaz Serik Burkitbaev, who had headed
the company since May 2008.
KazMunaiGaz is a vertically integrated company. Government holding
Samruk owns 100 % state block of shares.
