/KASE, October 02, 2026/ – Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) presents a brief overview of the equity market for September 2026.

As of the end of September 2026, there were 85 share issues of 72 issuers in KASE trading lists, of which two issues of two issuers were admitted to trading in the "Unlisted securities" sector.

According to the results of September 2026, the equity market capitalization amounted to KZT48.0 trillion ($109.3 bn), which is KZT2.2 trillion, or 4.4 %, lower than the previous month.

Share trading volume in September 2026 amounted to KZT22.0 bn, an decreasing of KZT2.3 bn, or 9.7 %, compared to August. Average daily trading volume was KZT1.0 bn, with an average daily number of transactions of 10,077 and an average transaction value of KZT99.1 th. Trading in shares in September took place exclusively on the secondary market.

Among the main categories of investors in the secondary market, individuals were the most active, accounting for 55.4 % of the gross stock trading turnover, followed by banks (0.6 %), broker-dealer firms (21.7 %), other institutional investors (1.8 %), and other legal entities (20.4 %). Non-residents accounted for 7.8 %.

The KASE Index value decreased by 4.01 % in September and reached 7,795.44 points by the end of the month.

The volume of index share transactions in September 2026 amounted to KZT20.5 bn, lower KZT0.8 bn from August. The largest trading volume was in common shares of National Atomic Company "Kazatomprom" JSC, amounting to KZT5.6 bn (27.3 % of the total index share trading volume).
