On September 4, 2026, the international rating agency S&P Global Ratings upgraded the Bank's long-term credit rating from "BB" to "BB+", affirmed the Bank's short-term rating at "B", and upgraded the national scale rating from "kzAА-" to "kzAA+". The outlook on the Bank's rating remains "Positive". The agency highlighted the stable asset quality of the Bank: the share of non- performing loans remains low and stable, comparable to the sector average, and provisions cover a significant portion of potential losses.
The positive outlook reflects the agency's expectation that slowing inflation and lower base rate against the backdrop of steady economic growth will contribute to a further reduction in the risks of Kazakhstan's banking sector.
