Review of KASE equity market in April 2026
/KASE, May 8, 2026/ – Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) presents a brief overview of the equity market for April 2026.
As of the end of April 2026, shares of 89 names of 76 issuers were on the KASE trading lists, of which shares of two names of two issuers were admitted to trading in the "Unlisted securities" sector.
Based on results of April 2026, the equity market capitalization amounted to 47.1 trillion tenge ($102.1 bn), which is 0.8 trillion tenge or 1.7% higher than the previous month.

Share trading volume in April 2026 amounted to 94.1 bn tenge, a 3.3-fold increase compared to March, or 65.4 bn tenge. The average daily trading volume was 4.3 bn tenge, with the average daily number of transactions being 8,685 and the average transaction value being 492,300 tenge. Share trading in April took place exclusively on the secondary market.
Among the main categories of investors in the secondary market, the most active were individuals, who accounted for 42.1% of the gross turnover of stock trading, followed by banks at 0.8%, broker-dealer firms at 16.1%, other institutional investors at 2.5%, and other legal entities at 38.6%. Non-residents accounted for 10.6%.
The KASE Index value increased by 1.4% in April and reached 7,842.91 points by the end of the month.
The volume of index share transactions in April 2026 amounted to 91.9 bn tenge, 66.1 bn tenge higher than in March. The largest trading volume was in common shares of Kazakhtelecom JSC, amounting to 49 bn tenge (53.3% of the total index share trading volume).
