National Company "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" JSC (KTZ) has successfully completed the bookbuilding for the placement of Eurobonds with two tranches with maturities of 5 and 10 years.
Based on the results of the bookbuilding:
- The coupon rate for the 5-year tranche was 4.875%, and the yield was at the level of 5% per annum,
- The coupon rate on the 10-year tranche was 5.250% per annum, and the yield was 5.375%.
At the announced placement volume, total investor demand reached approximately $3.9 billion, exceeding supply by almost four times. This demonstrates strong interest from international investors and confirms the strong credit profile of Kazakhstan's quasi-public sector in global capital markets. However, local demand for the instrument was subdued.
Leading investment banks, including Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, and Société Générale, acted as international underwriters. Co-underwriters included Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Deutsche Bank, Oman Investment Bank, and Standard Chartered Bank. Teniz Capital Investment Banking and Freedom Broker acted as local bookrunners.
