KASE equity market review of March 2025
/KASE, April 4, 2025/ – Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) presents a review of the equity market in March 2025.
As of the end of March 2025, shares of 96 names of 81 issuers were on KASE's trading lists, of which shares of two names of two issuers were admitted to trading in the "Unlisted securities" sector.
The volume of stock trading in March was 1,944 bn tenge, down 25.1 %, or 6.5 bn tenge, compared to February. The average daily trading volume was 1.1 bn tenge, the average daily number of transactions was 9,258, and the average volume of one transaction was 123,500 tenge. Stock trading in March took place exclusively on the secondary market.
Among the main categories of investors, individuals accounted for 52.0 % of the total volume of transactions with shares, broker-dealer organizations – for 10.6 %, other institutional investors – for 1.9 %, other legal entities – for 35.6 %, and banks – for less than 0.1 %. The share of non-residents was 7.9 %.
KASE Index value increased by 0.68 % in March and by the end of the month amounted to 5,658.74 points.

The volume of transactions with index shares in March 2025 amounted to 18.3 bn tenge, which is 5.5 bn tenge lower than the figure for February 2025. The largest trading volume was in common shares of Kazakhtelecom JSC – 6.9 bn tenge (37.7 % of the total trading volume with index shares).

According to the results of March 2025, the capitalization of the stock market amounted to 31.8 trillion tenge (63.1 bn USD), which is 264.16 bn tenge, or 0.8 %, lower than the previous month.
