STOCK MARKET
The KASE Index decreased by 1.29% to 8,005.66 points on Thursday. The largest number of transactions among the shares of the representative list were made with shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 6,259. The largest trading volume was also recorded in shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 297.1 million KZT. Shares of three issuers demonstrated growth: KazTransOil JSC (+0.70%), KEGOC JSC (+0.20%), and National Company KazMunayGas JSC (+0.08%).
MONEY MARKET
The yield on repo transactions with government securities (GS) for one day (TONIA) decreased by 10 b.p. and amounted to 15.83% per annum following the trading day results. The rate of borrowing KZT secured by US dollars for one day (SWAP-1D (USD)) decreased by 19 b.p. and amounted to 12.01% per annum. The total volume of trading in one-day money market instruments amounted to 666.970 billion KZT.
CURRENCY MARKET
As of 17:00, the average weighted exchange rate of the US dollar against the KZT with a settlement date of “tomorrow” based on the results of trading on Thursday amounted to 450.35 KZT. The national currency weakened by 6.26 KZT. The trading volume totaled 747.096 million US dollars. A total of 1,944 transactions were concluded. The minimum price was 447.55 KZT per US dollar, the maximum — 455.19 KZT, and the price of the last transaction — 450.50 KZT.
The price of November Brent oil futures on the London ICE Futures exchange increased by 3.95% by 18:00 Almaty time on Thursday and amounted to 105.16 US dollars per barrel.
