STOCK MARKET
KASE Index’s value decreased by 0.36% to 7,054.53 points on Tuesday. The largest number of transactions among the shares of the representative list were made with shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 6,171. The largest volume of transactions was also in shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 277.1 million tenge. Shares of three issuers demonstrated growth – National Company KazMunayGas JSC (+1.75%), Kaspi.kz JSC (+0.23%) and KEGOC JSC (+0.07%).
MONEY MARKET
Yield on repo transactions with government securities (GS) for one day (TONIA) decreased by 11 b.p. and amounted to 16.85% per annum following results of the trading day. The rate of borrowing tenge against US dollars for one day (SWAP-1D (USD)) increased by 35 b.p. and amounted to 12.25% per annum. The total volume of trading in one-day money market instruments amounted to 549.345 billion tenge.
CURRENCY MARKET
As of 17:00, the average weighted exchange rate of the US dollar to the tenge with a settlement date of "tomorrow" based on the results of trading on Tuesday was 538.93 tenge. The national currency depreciated by 1.22 tenge. The trading volume was 326.539 million US dollars. 1,038 transactions were concluded. The minimum price was 536.89 tenge per US dollar, the maximum was 540.51 tenge, and the price of the last transaction was 539.50 tenge.
The price of December Brent oil futures on the London ICE Futures exchange decreased by 2.07% by 18:00 Almaty time on Tuesday and amounted to 62.01 US dollars per barrel.
