STOCK MARKET
KASE Index rose by 0.85% on Friday, closing at 5,654.55 points. The largest number of transactions among the representative list shares was recorded in shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 2,278. The largest trading volume was in shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 244.2 million tenge. Growth was demonstrated by shares of eight issuers: Kazatomprom National Atomic Company JSC (+2.38%), Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (+1.83%), Bank CenterCredit JSC (+1.22%), Kcell JSC (+1.11%), KazMunayGas National Company JSC (+0.50%), KazTransOil JSC (+0.37%), KEGOC JSC (+0.14%), and Kazakhtelecom JSC (+0.12%).
MONEY MARKET
The yield on one-day repo transactions with government securities (TONIA) decreased by 24 b.p., amounting to 15.85% per annum at the end of the trading day. The rate for one-day tenge borrowing secured by US dollars (SWAP-1D (USD)) increased by 35 b.p. to 11.67% per annum. The total trading volume of one-day money market instruments reached 591.837 billion tenge.
CURRENCY MARKET
As of 17:00 on Friday, the average weighted exchange rate of the US dollar to the tenge with a "tomorrow" settlement date was 514.98 tenge. The national currency strengthened by 2.12 tenge. The trading volume amounted to 181.619 million US dollars. A total of 562 deals were concluded. The minimum price was 514.25 tenge, the maximum was 516.50 tenge, and the price of the last transaction was 514.50 tenge.
The price of June Brent crude oil futures on the London ICE Futures exchange decreased by 1.28% to 65.70 US dollars per barrel as of 18:00 Almaty time on Friday.
