STOCK MARKET
KASE Index rose by 0.25 % to 6,072.24 points on Thursday. The largest number of transactions among the shares of the representative list were made with shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 3,613. The highest trading volume was in shares of KazMunayGas NC JSC – 140.2 million tenge. Shares of seven issuers showed growth – Bank CenterCredit JSC (+0.84 %), Kcell JSC (+0.57 %), KazMunayGas NC JSC (+0.54 %), Kazatomprom NAC JSC (+0.17 %), KazTransOil JSC (+0.15 %), Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (+0.13 %) and Kazakhtelecom JSC (+0.04 %).
MONEY MARKET
The yield on one-day repo operations with government securities (TONIA) decreased by 1 b.p. and amounted to 15.51 % per annum. The rate of borrowing tenge against US dollars for one day (SWAP 1D (USD)) increased by 36 b.p. and amounted to 11.02 % per annum. The total volume of one-day money market operations reached 409.766 billion tenge.
CURRENCY MARKET
As of 17:00, the average weighted exchange rate of the US dollar to the tenge with T+1 settlement was 519.51 tenge. The national currency weakened by 1.03 tenge. The trading volume amounted to 257.353 million US dollars. A total of 687 transactions were concluded. The minimum rate was 518.55 tenge per dollar, the maximum – 520.05 tenge, and the rate of the last deal – 519.25 tenge.
The price of September Brent crude oil futures on the London ICE Futures exchange fell by 0.13 % to 69.02 US dollars per barrel as of 18:00 Almaty time on Thursday.
