STOCK MARKET
KASE Index’s value decreased by 0.25% to 6,944.72 points on Wednesday. The largest number of transactions among the shares of the representative list were made with shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 3,796. The largest volume of transactions was also in shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 179.7 million tenge. Shares of one issuer demonstrated growth – NAC Kazatomprom JSC (+2.44%).
MONEY MARKET
Yield on repo transactions with government securities (GS) for one day (TONIA) increased by 5 b.p. and amounted to 17.18% per annum following results of the trading day. The rate of borrowing tenge against US dollars for one day (SWAP-1D (USD)) decreased by 57 b.p. and amounted to 9.92% per annum. The total volume of trading in one-day money market instruments amounted to 521.766 billion tenge.
CURRENCY MARKET
As of 17:00, the average weighted exchange rate of the US dollar to the tenge with a settlement date of "tomorrow" based on the results of trading on Wednesday was 529.96 tenge. The national currency strengthened by 5.40 tenge. The trading volume was 407.681 million US dollars. 1,154 transactions were concluded. The minimum price was 525.68 tenge per US dollar, the maximum was 533.93 tenge, and the price of the last transaction was 528.90 tenge.
The price of December Brent oil futures on the London ICE Futures exchange increased by 0.06% by 18:00 Almaty time on Wednesday and amounted to 64.45 US dollars per barrel.
