STOCK MARKET
The value of the KASE Index increased by 0.30% to 7,725.19 points on Friday. The largest number of transactions among the shares of the representative list were made with shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 2,708. The largest trading volume was also recorded in shares of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC – 292.6 million tenge. Shares of four issuers demonstrated growth – Kcell JSC (+2.68%), Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (+2.02%), Kaspi.kz JSC (+0.17%) and Bank CenterCredit JSC (+0.11%).
MONEY MARKET
The yield on repo transactions with government securities (GS) for one day (TONIA) increased by 4 b.p. and amounted to 17.81% per annum following the trading day results. The rate of borrowing tenge secured by US dollars for one day (SWAP-1D (USD)) increased by 86 b.p. and amounted to 14.17% per annum. The total volume of trading in one-day money market instruments amounted to 1,340.197 billion tenge.
CURRENCY MARKET
As of 17:00, the average weighted exchange rate of the US dollar against the tenge with a settlement date of “tomorrow” based on the results of trading on Friday amounted to 482.89 tenge. The national currency weakened by 0.99 tenge. The trading volume totaled 327.173 million US dollars. A total of 1,061 transactions were concluded. The minimum price was 481.25 tenge per US dollar, the maximum — 484.67 tenge, and the price of the last transaction — 483.40 tenge.
The price of May Brent oil futures on the London ICE Futures exchange increased by 2.60% by 18:00 Almaty time on Friday and amounted to 110.82 US dollars per barrel.
