In the first 5 months of 2004 volume of CS purchase and sale transactions at KASE reached $636.1 m. and increased 1.5 times

/IRBIS, Assel Omarova, June 3, 04/ - Within the first 5 months of 2004 volume of purchase and sale transactions in corporate securities (CS), which were made at Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), including primary floatations and trade in state blocks of shares (SBS), reached equivalent of $636.1 m., (KZT87.9 bn.) and compared to similar period of last year increased by $207.1 m., (KZT22.7 bn.) or 1.48 times (1.35 times in tenge equivalent).

In 2003 volume of CS purchase and sale transactions at KASE was the equivalent of USD1,025.2 m. or KZT152.7bn.
