Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC launches Kagazy Processing project at the cost of $30 m.

/KASE, September 27, 05/ - Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC, (Almaty obl., Karasay region, Abay village, hereinafter - company), whose bonds are circulating in the official securities "A" listing category of Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE), spread press release, which informs about launching of new project Kagazy Processing. Cost of this project is evaluated in $30 m., and realization is planned for the first half of 2006. "Idea to launch Kagazy Processing project appeared after visiting of preliminary testing of SHM-1450 and AlphaCut equipment - technological lines for cutting of paper and cupboard on consumer and polygraphic formats in Sheboygan (USA) by Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC representatives", - the release says. Within the project contracts with E.С.Н. Will (Hamburg, Germany) and Pemco (Sheboygan, Wisconsin, USA), and also producers of equipment for packaging of batches, included in international holding group Korber Paper Link, which unites enterprises of special mechanical engineering for paper processing industry, processing with yew and production of hygienic commodities were concluded. Conception of plant construction is based on attraction of partners-suppliers of equipment and technological decisions, possessing advanced achievements in this branch and creation of innovation enterprise on production (cutting) of cupboard of consumer and polygraphic formats, compact office and writing paper, consumption of which is constantly growing, in the company's opinion. Application of new technologies in realization of this project will allow "to produce output meeting requirements of international standards, to improve ecological characteristics and competitiveness of produced output, to decrease import and satisfy the market of Kazakhstan by 30%". Within Kagazy Processing project also launching of output of modern highly productive line for production of paper goods of sanitary hygiene is planned.
