PetroKazakhstan about resignation of Kapparov a member of company's board of directors

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, September 13, 05/ - PetroKazakhstan
says Nurlan Kapparov informed the company's board of directors about its
resignation on account of personal reasons since September 11 of 2005.
N. Kapparov former head of Kazakhstan's national oil company entered
PetroKazakhstan's board of directors in the end of October of 2003.
N. Kapparov used to head KazTransOil (1997-1998) and KazakhOil (1998-1999),
used to be a vice-minister of energy and mineral resources (1999-2001).
PetroKazakhstan Inc. is a vertically integrated, international energy company,
celebrating its eighth year of operations in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is
engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of oil
and gas, refining of oil and the sale of oil and refined products.
In the middle of August PetroKazakhstan announced about making of an
agreement with CNPC International Ltd. (CNPC's "daughter"), which will buy
all circulating common shares of Petrokazakhstan. It's expected that at the
special meeting on October 18 company's shareholders will vote about sale
of company's all common shares to CNPC International Ltd. at $55 per
share by money, that is provided by the agreement signed before. Total
amount of the deal is estimated at $4.18 bn.
