KazMunaiGas in the first quarter raised its oil and gas condensate output by 9.7%

/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Almaty, April 14, 05/ - National oil and gas company KazMunaiGas in Jan-Mar of the current year produced 2,241 th tons of oil and gas condensate which is by 199 th tons larger than corresponding indicator of 2004, the company said in a statement released on Thursday. "Oil output rise was made possible thanks to implementation of new intensive technologies", the statement tells. Meanwhile, the national company plans to produce about 9,323 th tons of hydrocarbons. According to the statement Atyrau NPZ (company-owned refinery) refined 723 th tons of oil in Jan-Mar 2005. This includes 515 th tons of oil supplied by KazMunaiGas. "Accordingly, oil products output rose as well: petrol up by 54.5%, diesel fuel - by 24.6%, fuel oil - by 69.9%", statement reads. As informed according to company's plans in 2005 the volume of oil refining would total to 2.6 m tons, including 1.7 m tons supplied by KazMunaiGas. Meanwhile the volume of oil transportation through KazTransOil JSC (a subsidiary) system in Jan-Mar 2005 totaled 9,078 th tons which is by 112 th tons larger than for a corresponding period of 2004. It is assumed that in general in the current year the volume of oil transporttion through KazTransOil system would total 36,574 m tons. The volume of gas transportation through pipelines of Intergas Central Asia JSC (a subsidiary) in Jan-Mar 2005 totaled 33.69 b cubic meters of gas which is 0.02 bn c m larger relative to a corresponding period of the last year. According to forecasts, in 2005 the volume of gas transported through the system would equal to 116.7 bn c m. [2005-04-14]
