Kazakhmys copper output down to 95.400 T in January-March

news. Kazakhstan copper corporation Kazakhmys lowered its refined copper output
to 95,400 tonnes in January-March from 103,428 in the same period of last year.
Kazakhmys, one of the world's top 10 copper producers, which is headquartered
in Zhezkazgan in central Kazakhstan, alone accounts for over 90 percent of the
Central Asian state's copper output.
In March 2005, refined copper production rose up to 31.000 tons from 30.100 on
February.
The major production output was exported to China that accounted for 51% of
copper shipments, the rest part was shipped to Europe.
