CNPC-Aktobemunaigas to raise production up to 34%
/IRBIS, April 1, 05/ - INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN informs that CNPC- Aktobemunaigas JSC has planned to reach 34% production growth in 2005 up to 2.994 billion cubic meters from 2.230 billion cubic meters in 2004.
Oil production will reach 6.1 million tons compared to 5.3 million in 2004.
By late 2004 residual recoverable reserves of the largest oil field of Aktobemunaigas, Zhanazhol totaled 72.850 million tons. Both Kenkiyak, upper and under saline, oil fields contained 12.260 and 27.240 million tons correspondingly.
In 1997 CNPC (Chinese National Petroleum Company) become owner of 60.2% stake of Aktobemunaigas. In May 2003 the government sold out to CNPC the rest of shares (25.12%).
