Kazakhmys copper output down at 34.100 T in Jan

/REUTERS, Almaty, Tatyana Seroshtanova, February 4, 05/ - Kazakhstan copper corporation Kazakhmys lowered its refined copper output to 34,100 tonnes in January from 35,818 in the same month last year, company spokesman Vladislav Nikolayev said on Friday. Kazakhmys, one of the world's top 10 copper producers, which is headquartered in Zhezkazgan in central Kazakhstan, alone accounts for over 90 percent of the Central Asian state's copper output. Nikolayev said the value of the corporation's total output, including other metals, increased to 15.7 billion tenge ($120 million) in January from 12.0 billion tenge a year earlier.
