/Kazakhstan today, December 1, 04/ - President of NAC Kazatomprom
Mukhtar Jakishev during the company's conference in Aktau marked
disadvantages of MAEC's strategy till 2015, says a correspondent of KZ-
today.
As Jakishev says, creators of the company's program of strategic
development did not choose the optimal technological scheme, "which is not
guided by economics". "In other words everything we spend money for must
lead to decrease of cost and specific consumptions. The emphasis was not
made on it", - he says.
Jakishev has noted that first of all analysis of MAEC's current condition, its
revenues and expenditures should be made. "We should understand how to
increase revenues, how to work with undistributed losses and so on. We
must examine reasons of undistributed losses and try to minimize them", -
said Jakishev.
Kazatomprom's head thinks technological development of the combine must
be optimal. He explained that in case of unprofitableness of the old
equipment it should not be repaired, but they should use the strong side of all
branches, redistribute the load and get a cheaper energy resource. "This
program of technical re-equipment and development will have precisely this
conception as its base", - he explained.
Jakishev has reminded that by the resolution of the government
Kazatomrom's dividends will be spent for MAEC's technical re-equipment.
"So, Kazatomprom's dividends as well as the so called borrowed funds will
be the source of deficits covering. According to our conception, our every
investment will have a certain payback term, so there are no problems
concerning funds borrowing", - he said.
NAC's president charged the combine's governing body with entire remaking
the development program within a month in accordance with the new
principles.
As the whole Jakishev is satisfied with the company's work carried out within
one year and a half. He says the personnel has done much work. All
technical tasks concerning equipment restoring and reliability of energy
supply have been fulfilled. Further replacement of equipment will be made on
the basis of thoroughly worked out strategy of technical rearmament.
