Kazakhstan repays the third issue eurobonds for $300 m.
/INTERFAX-KAZAKHSTAN, Astana, October 18, 04/ - On Monday Kazakhstan Ministry of finance, in accordance with the schedule, repaid its liabilities on five-year sovereign eurobonds of the third issue for $300 m.
"Total sum of repayment is $320.4 m., $300 m. of which are the major debt, $20 m. 437.5 th. - final coupon", - said the department of the state debt and crediting of the Ministry of finance.
Kazakhstan made the third eurobond issue in September-November of 1999 in the volume of $300 m. circulation term as 5 years.
In September o last year the major volume of the issue for $200 m. was floated at 98.875%, the spread was +825 b.p. Coupon rate at floatation was 13.625% APR. Deutsche Bank and ABN AMRO bank acted as the lead- managers of the issue. About 2/3 of the major issue volume were floated in Europe, 1/3 - in the USA.
In November of 1999 Kazakhstan made an additional floatation of the third issue in the volume of $100 m.: in the beginning of the month - for $25 m. at 99.875%, the spread was +777 b.p., in the end of the month - for $75 m. at 101.75%, the spread was +710 b.p..
The third issue was assigned the following credit ratings in foreign currency: "Ba3" from Moody's, "B+" from S&P and "BB-" from Fitch IBCA.
Interests on this issue securities were paid once in half a year: on April 18 and on October 18.
