Oil overflow occurred at the main oil pipeline in Kazakhstan

/REUTERS, Almaty, July 8, 04/ - On Tuesday at Kazakhstan part of main oil
pipeline Atyrau-Samara there occurred overflow of oil, said the Extraordinary
situations agency (ESA) on Thursday.
"About 2,500-3,000 tons of oil overflew ", - says the message pf ESA.
The agency has not informed in what mode the pipeline, which exports
Kazakhstan oil through Russia's territory, works.
An official of the press-service of Kaztransoil - operator of the pipeline -
said she did not know anything about the incident.
In February of 2004 there overflew 2,300 tons of oil from the oil pipeline
Atyrau- Samara as the result of break of pipes caused by metal corrosion.
