/IRBIS, Ranida Gabdeyeva, May 17, 04/ - Kazneftekhim JSC (Almaty), whose securities are circulating in official "B" listing category of Kazakhstan Stock Exchnage (KASE) released an announcement today informing that the company won a contest for a right to conduct exploratory and extraction works at hydrocarbon-rich Tagan Yuzhyi field in Atyrau region by submitting a competitive investment program.

Tagan Yuzhnyi is 60 km away from Kopa field in Aktobe region, where Kazneftekhim - Kopa LLP, a daughter company of Kazaneftekhim JSC, extracts hydrocarbons.
