NC KazMunaiGas JSC about results of activity in the I quarter of 2004

/IRBIS, Ranida Gabdeyeva, April 19, 04/ - Today press-service of NC KazMunaiGas JSC (Astana) spread information about results of the company's activity in the first quarter of 2004. According to the published data according to results of the I quarter of 2004 there have been extracted 2,042 th. tons of oil and gas condensate that exceeds the level of similar period of last year by 6.6%. Besides, 50.3 th. tons of hydrocarbon raw stuff have been received in addition to the plan. Following indicators are given regarding daughter oil-extracting companies: Uzenmunaigas OJSC has fulfilled the plan on extraction of oil and gas condensate for the I quarter of 2004 by 103.6% that is 1,384.8 th. tons, in addition 47.6 th. tons of energy raw stuff have been extracted. Embamunaigas OJSC extracted 656.8 th. tons (100.4% of the plan), additionally 2.7 th. tons were extracted. 218 m. cubic meter of natural gas have been extracted that is more by 1.4% than quarter plan. The message notes that growth of production indicators of oil extracting companies of NC KazMunaiGas JSC was possible due to considerable and special-purpose investments into industrial building and into measures on restoring of well stock and optimization of fields development systems. According to forecasted data, in 2004 it's planned to extract 8,360.3 th. tons of hydrocarbons. In the I quarter of 2003 there were supplied 1,887 th. tons of oil (more by 10.8% than in similar period of last year). In the I quarter of 2004 volume of refining at Atyrau PR was 591 th. tons of oil that was more by 1.9% than in similar period of last year. 487 th. tons of hydrocarbon raw stuff were delivered from resources of NC KazMunaiGas JSC. Till the end of 2004 volume of refining will equal to 2,400 th. tons, also from resources of NC KazMunaiGas JSC 1,700 th. tons of oil. Total volume of oil transportation through the system of KazTransOil CJSC in the I quarter of 2004 was 8,974 th. tons that was more by 1.00 m. tons in comparison with similar period of last year. In 2004 volume of hydrocarbon raw stuff transportation will be 35.708 th. tons. Total volume of gas transportation through main gas pipelines of Intergas Central Asia CJSC in the I quarter of 2004 was 32.3 bn. cubic meters that was more by 2.5 bn. cubic meters than in last year. In 2004 gas transportation is planned to be 113.7 bn. cubic meters. Volume of investments at own expense in the I quarter of 2004 was KZT10.4 bn., including into production KZT7.6 bn. This indictor has grown two times in comparison with similar period of last year. In the I quarter of 2003 NC KazMunaiGas JSC paid taxes and made other payments for a total of KZT17.3 bn. while the plan was KZT17.2 bn. that was connected mainly with growth of company's revenues.
