ATFBank JSC (Kazakhstan) about results of its activity in 2003

/IRBIS, Assel Omarova, April 9, 04/ - ATFBank JSC (Almaty), whose securities
are circulating in the official "A" listing category of Kazakhstan stock
exchange Inc. (KASE), has presented to KASE press-release dedicated to results
of the bank's activity in 2003.
In particular it's informed that by the beginning of this year, in accordance
with international accounting standards, assets of ATFBank JSC reached KZT95.45
bn. having grown during the year by 69.9%. Net income for 2003 equaled to
KZT1.46 bn. (in 2002 - KZT1.01 bn.), shareholders equity reached KZT8.34 bn.
(as of January 1 of 2003 - KZT5.14 bn.). For the year 2004 the bank plans
further growth of assets (up to KZT140 - KZT160 bn.), net income - to KZT2.5
bn., shareholders equity - to KZT15 bn..
In the past year first in Kazakhstan ATFBank JSC in cooperation with Kazakhstan
Franchising Association started the special Program of financing for obtaining
of franchises of the world famous companies.
Besides, the bank informs about opening of a new office in Almaty in 2003. This
modern building situated in the capital's business center provides the high
level of comfort of rendered services.
In the first quarter of 2004 there was founded a representatives of ATFBank JSC
in Moscow, its major aim is detailed research of Russian financial sector in
order to extend volumes of operations at it, and also for bank's potential
participation in the capital of one of Russia's commercial banks.
In order to support the planned high growth rates ATFBank JSC has almost
finished further growth of its capital by $30 m. Thus, within the framework of
cooperation with international financial institutions the bank borrowed two
syndicated loans for a total of $92.0 m. in June and October of 2003.
In the middle of April of this year ATFBank JSC also plans to hold road-show of
debut eurobonds for up to $150 m. with circulation term from 3 to 5 years. The
forthcoming issue was assigned rating from the world leading rating agencies.
Fitch assigned to the bank's issue the long-term "B+" rating. Besides, Moody's,
as was informed today, assigned "Ba1" rating to the planned issue of eurobonds,
outlook is "stable".
ATFBank JSC finances small and medium Kazakhstan business, at the bank's
expense and in cooperation with European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development, German Credit institute for economic recovery, Asian Development
Bank, The world Bank. ATFBank JSC is a participant of programs of the
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Trade Facilitation Program
(international trade financing program) and Warehouse Receipt Program (grain
receipts program), and also actively cooperates with international export
credit agencies.
Today ATFBank JSC takes the 4th place among Kazakhstan banks by the
volume of assets and is one of the most quickly growing financial institutions
of the country. Bank's network comprises branches and cash-settlement offices
in 15 cities of the country: Almaty, Astana, Atyrau, Aktau, Aksai, Aktobe,
Karaganda, Kostanai, Lisakovsk, Pavlodar, Rudniy, Taraz, Ust-Kamenogorsk,
Shymkent and Shyuchinsk. It's planned to expand the branch network of the bank
in 2004 and open 3 new branches in the cities of Kyzylorda, Uralsk and
Semipalatinsk.
