AFN-approved list of IFOs with bonds permitted to be used as subjects for various agreements concluded by Kazakhstan banks

/KASE, March 26, 04/ - Today Kazakhstan agency for regulation and control of a financial market and financial organizations (AFN) forwarded an official letter to Kazakhstan Stock Exchange Inc. (KASE) informing that according to the resolution of AFN Board dated February 9, 2004, a list of international financial organizations (IFO), whose bonds can be used by local second-tier banks as subjects for various agreements, has been approved. The resolution took effect from March 17, 2004, i.e. the day of document's registration with Justice Ministry. Following IFOs mentioned in the lists: - the IntemationaI Bank for Reconstruction and Development; - the Intemational Finance Corporation; - the Asian Development Bank; - the African Development Bank; - the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development; - the Inter-Arnerican Development Bank; - the European Investment Bank; - the Islamic Development Bank; - the Nordic Investment Bank; - the Council of Europe Development Bank.
