/KASE, February 19, 04/ - BTA MORTGAGE (Almaty), whose bonds are listed
under "B" category of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC (KASE), provided KASE
with preliminary financials for 2003.
According to financial statements, company shareholders' equity as of Janaury
1, 2004 totaled KZT275,978 th. (including par capital - KZT40.0, reserve
capital - KZT4.7 bn, retained earnings - KZT4.7 bn), assets - KZT4.7 bn,
liabilities - KZT4.4 bn; net income - KZT187.3 m.

Primary activities include rendering and outsourcing mortgage services to
