/IRBIS, January 6, 04/ - In 2003 total volume of foreign exchange transactions concluded at the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) reached the equivalent of $6,413.4 m and increased by $3,432.7 m, or 2.2 times relative to 2002. During the year 2002 foreign currency transactions volume at KASE was estimated by the equivalent of $2,980.7 m. Corresponding indicator calculated on all stock exchange's deals of the year 2003 (including additional sessions) is KZT148.75 per dollar. Judging on weighted average exchange's rate of the main (morning) session, in 2003 tenge strengthened in nominal expression to dollar by 8.03%, that corresponded to average revaluation speed at the rate of 8.06% APR on the basis 365.
