results of trading in government securities (GS) for January 2023.
On the GS primary market in January, 122 deals were made for a total of
KZT449.6 bn ($971.7 mln):

In terms of the main categories of investors in the secondary government
securities market, excluding foreign government securities, banks accounted
for 27.9 %, broker-dealer organizations – for 1.7 %, other institutional
investors – for 4.4 %, other legal entities – for 65.9 %, individuals – for
less than 0.1%. Participation of non-residents is estimated at 10.8 %.
Based on January results, the yield indices for GS with a term of up to one
year and more than five years decreased by 19 b.p. and 5 b.p. respectively,
while over the medium-term horizon of one to five years, the yield increased by
52 b.p.

As of February 1, there are 126 issues of bonds of the Ministry of Finance of
the Republic of Kazakhstan in the "Government securities" sector of KASE,
including 13 Eurobonds, two issues of notes of the National Bank of the
Republic of Kazakhstan, 164 issues of bonds of local executive bodies and 32
issues of bonds of foreign states.
In February 2023, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan plans to
hold auctions of government securities (MEKAM) for a total amount of KZT325.0
