Asian Development Bank raises KZT6.5 bn on KASE through subscription by placing international bonds XS2507222904 (ASDBe11) with yield to maturity of 14.15 % per annum

/KASE, August 10, 2022/ – As announced earlier, an initial offering of
international bonds XS2507222904 (ASDBe11, KZT6,479,250,000; 10.08.22 –
12.08.25; semi-annual coupon; 14.15 % APR; actual/360) of Asian Development Bank
was conducted on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) in the module "Subscription"
of the trading system on August 4, 2022 by way of subscription to them.
Tengri Partners Investment Banking (Kazakhstan) JSC (Almaty) acted as the
seller during the subscription to the said bonds.
Orders for the subscription were collected on August 4, 2022 from 09:30 to 11:00
o'clock (Nur-Sultan time).
The nominal amount of bonds offered was KZT6,479,250,000 (6,479,250,000
pieces with face value of KZT1). Limit and market orders were accepted during
the subscription.
As the price an order indicated the coupon rate value, denominated in annual
percentage with accuracy of up to the second decimal place. The number of
financial instruments was represented by the nominal volume in tenge. The
subscription conditions put no restrictions on buyers with regard to the maximum
number of bonds in orders submitted.
Two members of KASE participated in the trading. A total of three limit orders
were submitted to the trading system with a nominal volume of KZT9,000 mln, of
which two orders were recognized as active at the end of the order collection.
The yield to maturity in the submitted active orders made up 14.15 % per annum.
The total demand during the subscription reached KZT9,000,000,000.0,
exceeding the supply volume 1.4 times.
Other institutional investors accounted for 33.3 % of the total volume of active
orders, other legal entities – for 66.7 %.
As a result of the offering, orders for a total amount of 6,479,250,000.0 tenge
were executed. The issuer placed 6,479,250,000 bonds, having determined the
yield to maturity at the level of 14.15 % per annum.
According to the data of the Central Securities Depository JSC (Almaty), all
deals based on the results of subscription for the indicated bonds by the
moment of publication of this information have been settled, the subscription
has been completed. At the same time, 7.4 % of the volume raised was bought out
by institutional investors, 92.6 % - by other legal entities.
