/KASE, June 24, 2022/ – By a decision of the Management Board of Kazakhstan
Stock Exchange (KASE) dated June 23, 2022, changes and additions No. 3
(amendments) to KASE’s internal document "Rules for holding a competition
among retail investors" (the Rules) were approved, with effect from June 24,
2022.
The amendments were made in order to optimize the calculation of the
profitability of the portfolio of participants in the competition and increase
the number of instruments allowed to participate in the competition among
retail investors.
The amendments provide for the following:
- clarify that individuals – citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan over 18
years of age are allowed to participate in the competition;
- the list of shares for which the competition is held, in addition to shares in
the representative list of KASE Index, was supplemented by shares of the
"KASE Global" sector;
- specify that participation in the tender starts from the date of registration
of the application on KASE website;
- the formula for calculating the performance of a contestant has been
optimized;
- editorial changes and clarifications have been made.
