KASE determined leading operators of the exchange market of foreign currency for October and 10 months of the current year

/IRBIS, November 3, 03/ - Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) determined
the list of second tier banks - leading operators of exchange market of
foreign currency in Kazakhstan for October of 2003.
Position of bank in the list is set in accordance with share of deals it
concluded in total gross-turnover of trades (sum of purchased and sold
currency) on USD, Euro and Russian rouble in trading system of KASE. In
addition the position of each bank was expressed by total tenge equivalent at
the current rate of each concluded deal.
In total, in conclusion of deals 25 second-tier banks were participating at
KASE in October. Below the list of ten most active operators in order of
priority is given.

Kazakhstan CJSC (Almaty, 19th position in September), DB BANK OF
CHINA IN KAZAKHSTAN CJSC (Almaty, 14th position in September), BANK
CASPIAN OJSC (Almaty, 11th position in September).
In the total turnover of exchange's currency market 99.92% of conducted
deals fell to the stake of US dollar in October.
