/KASE, June 3, 2022/ – Freedom Holding Corp. (USA), whose shares are
officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has provided KASE with
the following press release dated June 1, 2022:

Freedom Holding Corp. (hereinafter – the holding company) announces its
financial results for the fiscal year 2022 ended March 31, 2022.
Main indicators for the specified period:
1) Based on results of fiscal year 2022, the holding's revenue amounted to $565
million, which is by $212 million, or 60 %, more than a year earlier. This
result was facilitated by the growth of:
a. fee and commission income – by 59 %, or $160 million – from $272
million to $432 million, associated with an increase in the number of client
accounts and expansion of activities (an increase in the number of active
clients and transactions);
b. interest income – by 197 %, or by $61 million – from $31 million to $92
million, associated with an increase in the total size of the trading
portfolio and the number of bonds in it;
c. profit on trading securities – by 70 %, or by $32 million – from $46 million
to $78 million;
d. loss on foreign exchange transactions – by $41 million, mainly due to the
weakening of the Russian ruble by 11 % against the US dollar.
2) The holding's expenses increased by $148 million, or 83 %, due to the
following reasons:
a. an $84 million increase in operating expenses related to payroll costs as a
result of the expansion of the holding's activities, hiring employees,
compensation expenses, issuance of limited share grants to key
employees;
b. an increase in interest expense of $49 million due to an increase in short-
term financing through securities repurchase agreements and interest
expense on deposits, which was the result of an increase in customer
deposit accounts.
3) Based on the results of fiscal years 2022 and 2021:
a. the holding's net income is $211 million and $143 million, respectively;
b. the holding's earnings per share, based on a weighted average of 59
million shares, were $3.56 and $2.45, respectively;
c. other comprehensive income is $194 million and $145 million,
respectively.
