/KASE, April 20, 2022/ – Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) notifies the market participants that due to high volatility in the local and international markets associated with a sharp change in the geopolitical situation in the world, in March and April 2022, some market-makers had to stop quoting some securities in the "KASE Global" sector. At the same time, quotations on the market for 18 securities continue to be maintained and the obligations of market-makers are properly fulfilled. It is important to note that from April 11, 2022, bid quotations on all securities for which there is currently no official market-maker, continue to be supported by one of the brokers on a voluntary basis within a spread of 1–1.5 % of the current market price of the instrument. Thus, in the "KASE Global" sector, investors still have the possibility to close their positions, if needed. Currently, KASE, together with market participants, is taking active measures aimed at raising additional liquidity in the "KASE Global" sector. It should be noted that a necessary condition for effective quotation by market- makers of a greater number of securities is the normalization of the situation on global markets. At the same time, as part of the measures aimed at expanding the range of available instruments in the "KASE Global" sector, the EuroNext exchange was added to the list of platforms, securities from which can be admitted to trading in the "KASE Global" sector. In the near future, it is planned to supplement the list of traded securities with shares of Airbus SE, in respect of which there are preliminary agreements with a potential market-maker. Additionally, in March 2022, the Listing Rules were amended to allow ETF securities to be included in the "KASE Global" sector. [2022-04-20]
