From July 25 of 2003 bonds issued by the Development Bank of Kazakhstan OJSC are considered as agent

/KASE, October 14, 03/ - The Development Bank of Kazakhstan OJSC (Astana),
whose bonds are circuiting under official "A" listing category of Kazakhstan
Stock Exchange CJSC (KASE), informed KASE with the official letter about the
fact, that all bonds issued by the bank starting from July 25, 2003, i.e. from
the moment when the National Bank of Kazakhstan assigned the Development Bank
of Kazakhstan a status of a financial agency according to the paragraph 1-1,
article #13 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Development Bank
of Kazakhstan", are considered as agent bonds.
As was informed previously, according to the law "On securities market" dated
July 2, 2003, a financial agency is a bank or organization that carries some
types of banking activities authorized in accordance with the legislation of
the Republic of Kazakhstan for realization of a state investment policy in
certain spheres of the economy and that borrows fund at a financial market of
Kazakhstan and/or International financial markets with that purpose. Bonds
issued by a financial agency both domestically and abroad are considered as
agent bonds.
