At Amangeldy gas field the works on construction of the first starting complex are almost finishing.

/Kazakhstan today, 09.09.03/ - At Amangeldy gas field the works on construction of the first starting complex of the main technological line of the complex gas processing equipment, consisting of 5 gas wells are approaching the end. The president of Kazstroipromtechmontazh CJSC on southern region Shaismail Gasanov informed about this fact the correspondent of KZ-today. According to the information of S. Gasanov, at current Amangeldy - Taraz pipeline (with the length of 193 km) is ready for exploitation. After successful hydro experiments and refinement of the internal cavity, it is filled with the gas of fifth compressor station of the bulk supply and was preserved under pressure till its implementation. The gas supply in Taraz from the gas field is planned to be started at the start of the heating season. Besides, according to the director of Kazburgas OJSC branch Mailk Shotai, the deepening of 3 out of 12 wells is being conducted, which is to be included into the second starting complex of Amangeldy gas field. By the end of 2003 it is planned to bore one more well. As the head of the department of industry and energy of the Akimat Yerik Kushebayev said, currently the assembling of technical equipment at central facility is already finished, the binning of interplant communications and assembling and setting up of control equipment is held. The volume of the investments in developing of Amangeldy gas field comprised $51 mln from republican budget, $67 mln from investments and $33 mln provided by KazTransGas CJSC. [2003-09-09]
