/KASE, October 11, 2021/ – Development Bank of Kazakhstan (Nur-Sultan),
whose bonds are officially listed on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), has
provided KASE with the following press release dated October 11, 2021:
quote
DBK forms a register of companies that will be recommended to prospective
borrowers of the Bank as consultants for project proposal preparation.
Project proposal preparation consultant. Who is it?
A project proposal preparation consultant is a new category of consultants
introduced by DBK. His/her task is to provide a prospective borrower with expert
services in preparing a package of documents for a funding request in
accordance with the requirements of DBK.
What is it for?
The Development Bank of Kazakhstan finances large-scale and technically
complex projects, often greenfield projects that require detailed planning and
elaboration of important project components: technical, marketing, financial,
etc.
Often, a package of documents received by the Bank from prospective
customers does not meet the requirements of the financial institution for a
business plan and other documents, which significantly increases the terms of
request processing. As practice has shown, often borrowers do not have enough
labor and time resources to prepare or finalize a package of documents. For
example, a prospective borrower of the Bank, being aware of all the project
information, for any objective reasons cannot state and formalize it properly.
Consequently, the Bank periodically receives requests from project initiators to
render services for the development or finalization of documents.
The services of an external consultant will contribute to the qualitative
formation of a package of documents, such as the preparation of a feasibility
study (FS)/Business Plan, legal documentation for the project in accordance
with the requirements of the Bank. These measures will have a positive effect
on the terms of request processing.
