/KASE, July 7, 2021/ – KASE launches a new trading and clearing system
SPECTRA for the derivatives market today.
The following derivatives are to be traded on the new trading and clearing
system:
- non-deliverable futures on the US dollar to tenge exchange rate;
- non-deliverable futures on common shares of Halyk Savings Bank of
Kazakhstan JSC;
- non-deliverable futures on common shares of NAC Kazatomprom JSC;
- non-deliverable futures on KASE Index.
KASE plans to expand its term contracts line as it will open trading in non-
deliverable futures on other underlying assets, and then options, option series
and calendar spreads will be added to the instrument line of the derivatives
market.
The following KASE by-laws and amendments thereto regulating trading in
derivatives on SPECTRA trading system, as well as clearing, settlements and
central counterparty issues in this market are put into effect from July 7,
2021:
- amendments No. 7 to the Rules for execution of exchange activities;
- amendments No. 8 to the Regulations on membership fees, exchange and
clearing fees;
- amendments No. 9 to the Regulations on clearing participants;
- amendments No. 11 to the Rules for clearing deals in financial Instruments;
- amendments No. 1 to the Rules for providing access to the Exchange's
trading systems;
- amendments No. 3 to the Regulations on the methods of conducting trades
on the ASTS+ trading and clearing system;
- amendments No. 4 to the Regulations on trading, control and execution
system;
- amendments No. 5 to the Instruction on the procedure for assigning codes
to members of Kazakhstan Stock Exchange JSC and their accounts, users
of trading systems, issuers of securities and financial instruments;
- redrafted Rules for settlement on the derivatives market;
- Specification of futures on foreign currency rate against tenge;
- Specification of futures on shares of Kazakh issuers;
- redrafted specification of futures on KASE Index.
The following documents shall be invalidated as of the same date:
- Current version of the Rules for settlement on the derivatives market;
- Specification of futures on common shares of KAZ Minerals PLC;
- Specification of futures on common shares of Halyk Savings Bank of
Kazakhstan JSC;
- Specification of futures on common shares of Kcell JSC;
- Specification of futures on common shares of KazTransOil JSC;
- Current version of the Specification of futures on KASE index;
- Specification of futures on the US dollar to tenge exchange rate.
